A Royal Reception for the Seashell Trust
Via my charity work I often have the honour of meeting some amazing people, a fine example of this is my recent reception with Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh at the Seashell Trust. The charity runs a specialist school, college and residential accommodation for young people with the most complex disabilities in the UK. The Duchess formerly opened the The Moulding Foundation Building – the new home of Royal School Manchester and was able to break ground for the work to begin on the next phase of transformation – a new building for Royal College Manchester. Seashell is currently in the middle of a £10m fundraising appeal to build the College and have raised £5.7m to date. I donated £80K funds from the MJBall23 to the project, and will be supporting Seashell Trust as one of the main beneficiary charities for the upcoming MJBall24 in November.
