The money raised by Michael gets used by the beneficiary charities on a daily basis, to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families.

In addition to the Michael Josephson MBE Charity Balls, Michael has also raised £6.5 million for the NSPCC ChildLine.

Variety, the Children’s Charity

Variety provides practical support that makes an immediate difference to children and young people under the age of 19, providing practical and tangible help. They provide grants for specialist and bespoke disability equipment (including wheelchairs that aren’t available through Government services), adapted accessible transport to SEND schools with Variety’s iconic Sunshine coaches, and memorable days out for disadvantaged children living in poverty.

Rainbow Trust

Rainbow Trust provides bespoke support for families who have a child with a serious illness. It offers the whole family support, regardless of diagnosis and is there for as long as a family needs.

Mahdlo Youth Zone

Mahdlo Youth Zone aims to deliver high quality, innovative activities and experiences for young people from Oldham aged 8-19 (25 with a disability) to provide opportunities to raise aspirations and support young people to be the best they can be.

The Anne Frank Trust

The Anne Frank Trust is dedicated to empowering young people to challenge all forms of prejudice including racism, antisemitism, homophobia and Islamophobia.

Wigan Youth Zone

Wigan Youth Zone provides a great opportunity for cross-sector partnership to raise the aspirations of the young people of Wigan.

Seashell Trust

Seashell is a charity dedicated to providing a creative, happy and secure environment for children and young people with complex needs and additional communication challenges from across the UK.

The Silver Line

The Silver Line is a free confidential telephone helpline offering information, friendship and advice to older people in the United Kingdom, available 24 hours a day. As of 1 October 2019 The Silver Line joined forces with Age UK to help more of the older people who are struggling with loneliness and isolation.

ChildLine

Childline is a free service for children and young people – here whenever they need support or advice. We’ve delivered an average of around 17,000 counselling sessions a month since the first national lockdown began. Childline is here for every child and young person.

ACT

ACT helps actors’ children enjoy secure and creative lives. It gives financial, practical and emotional support to help parents working in our unpredictable acting industry.

GMYN

GMYN delivers a range of development programmes and drop-in activities to help young people in Greater Manchester transition to adulthood feeling skilled, supported and positive.

Humans MCR

Humans MCR analyses and responds to the root causes of food poverty and works to give respect, health, dignity and hope to those in our communities. Its mission is to change lives in the communities by providing access to food and education to build a healthy, hunger-free future.

NSPCC

The NSPCC protects children today and prevents abuse tomorrow, to transform society for every childhood.

British Red Cross

The British Red Cross has been helping millions of people in the UK and around the world get the support they need when crisis strikes.

Start

START is a charity that has been delivering mental health recovery and prevention services in Salford for over 30 years. It uses creativity, connection and recovery interventions to help improve people’s lives.

The FED

The FED is the leading social care charity for the Greater Manchester Jewish Community.

The Proud Trust

The Proud Trust is an LGBT+ organisation that supports LGBT+ young people through youth groups, peer support, mentoring programs and the Proud Connections.

Frost Foundation

The Frost Foundation is a charity that has been established to help local children who are disadvantaged by illness, circumstance or lack of funding.

Contact Hostel

Contact is a charity providing accommodation and practical support for homeless teenage girls from the Manchester area. We have helped nearly 1000 young women get back on their feet, and help them move onto better, happier futures.

Endeavour-min

Endeavour (Paws for Kids)

The first domestic abuse charity in the UK to offer an in-house pet fostering service to enable those with pets to flee an abusive household without surrendering or leaving their animals

Hope-min

The Hope Foundation

The Hope Foundation is a registered charity working with street and slum children in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India. They work to free children and poor families from lives of pain, abuse, poverty and darkness.

Clapa-min

CLAPA

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity supporting people born with a cleft and their families in the UK. They bring together people affected by cleft to help them connect with others who share their experiences, welcoming them into a supportive community for life
